Is this a good story idea?

Well, it doesn't seem to have unexpected events yet. A story can be made more interesting if the character or two undergo some kind of change...either by learning a life lesson.. becoming more mature, more ethical, more confident. Perhaps Scarlett could realize she doesn't need a guy to make her feel worthy. That they are fine. and often cute, but really, what high school boy is truly worth designing your life around? Perhaps is her muddling about trying to impress a boy, she finds a cause, purpose, pion, career, that makes her so interesting she no longer has a problem attracting interesting people. Boys included.
