Can somebody please tell me what is going on!?

Ok so on Saturday, two days ago, I woke up feeling just fine but by the end of the day I was running a 104.1 fever an exhibiting flu-like symptoms. So on Sunday I went to Carenow and tested negative for type A or B flu and was running a 102.8 at the time. Because of the shortage of tamiflu and my negative test, they wouldn't perscribe me any, which is understandable. But then later that same day my temperature dropped to the 97.2-97.6 range, taken at various times. Now that I am awake and have been for about an hour, my temperature is steadily resting at 96.3! What causes this? Oh, and I usually tend to run in the lower mid 98's so I know that I'm not just returning to normal.
